|
The Development Committee is responsible for overseeing the organization's overall fundraising activities as well as promoting awareness of the mission and vision of the organization. Responsibilities include:
|
|
|
|
•To establish a development plan to include special events, direct mail, annual appeals and other appropriate avenues for revenue generation.
•To work with the development staff in all efforts to raise money
•To take the lead in certain types of outreach efforts, such as chairing an event subcommittee or hosting and staffing fundraising events, etc.
•To be responsible for involvement of all board members in fundraising, to include:
- Identifying potential new donors;
- Assigning board members to make contacts and ask for support
•To monitor fundraising efforts to be sure that ethical practices are in place, that
donors are acknowledged appropriately, and that fundraising efforts are showing a return on investment. |
